The Project

In the summer of 2020, the Los Angles-based nonprofit Stop Poaching Now wanted to publicize its 24-Hour E-Race Extinction fundraiser.

The Pitch

After interviewing Stop Poaching Now founder Heidi Jo-Markel at her Los Angeles home, mediator crafted email pitches that focused on the movie and tv stars participating in her E-Race fundraiser as well as the increase in poaching occurring as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.

The Placements

Degen Pener of The Hollywood Reporter found our pitch compelling and requested an interview with Heidi Jo. Soon after, he published an article about the E-Race event, which you can read here.

10 days later, Los Angeles TV station Spectrum News 1 aired a segment about movie star Tim Blake Nelson’s involvement with Stop Poaching Now, which you can watch here.
